Dhaka during Ramadan

Iftar lovers are swarming Old Town’s Chawkbazar, as over 100 shops are offering variety of traditional items from the first day of Ramadan. The most popular dishes include ‘suti kebab’, leg fry, roasted chicken, ‘shahi paratha’, grilled lamb, ‘boro baper polay khay’,’ jali kabab’, ‘dahi bara’, ‘shahi jilapi’, ‘halim’ and ‘Kashmiri sherbet’. Meanwhile, thousands of devotees are having Iftar in groups and individually inside the Baitul Mukarram mosque premises every day during the holy month of Ramadan.
